WAnt a Breakdown of What I do? Well, here’s what I do (I’m talking as me now because I’m not into the weird ‘third person’ thing):

For The Last three years, I’ve been the Social Media and Content Manager for Firestone Walker Brewing Company and 805 Beer, a California beer company you’ve probably enjoyed more than a few sips of before. Here, I do everything from managing our five different brand channels to ideating, producing, and publishing all our original written, video, and designed content, to penning every bit of product, ad, and web copy. It’s been a lot of that, and a whole bunch more too. But it’s not all been just work, work, and more work after that. I’ve also had the opportunity to share fascinating stories from an impressive roster of artists, Professional Motorcycle Riders, Musicians, Snowboarders, Farmers, Surfers, MMA Fighters, BUll Riders, and everyone else who has something interesting to say while holding an open, well-earned cold beer at the end of the day.  And that’s always all fine and good.

I have a passion for writing and, as was probably already obvious from my whole wink-wink, nudge-nudge performance up above, storytelling. I’ve been an editor and, in some cases, currently edit, publications like Wasted Talent, Stab Magazine, and Monster Children. This predilection to sharing devoted conversations has led me to live and work in places like Biarritz, Sydney, and my current home in Los Angeles. It’s been nice, and I plan to keep it going.

There have been plenty of noteworthy endeavours and takeaways from it all, but I won’t waste extra space listing them. I’ve already taken up enough as is. Besides, that’s what a resume is for.

The big takeaway here is that, for almost a decade, I’ve created deep emotional connections between content and audiences in a way that lasts. I understand where to find diverse, true fans (and how to keep them), and how they buy into empathy and brand ethos. writing is a tricky thing, because some of the most memorable writing reads, well, not quite like writing. It reads like an intimate, cheery conversation with a close friend. The second writing feels like writing, it’s bad writing.

And, yeah, all I hope to do is apply all that to help brands tell better stories while telling a few of my own along the way. So, if you want everyone to listen to your story, you should probably drop me an email.
